Be directly responsible for the review and coordination of the electrical and Mechanical services works and associated coordination in accordance with schedule requirements. Completely understand electrical services drawings, specifications, schedules and budgets for the works under construction. Lead constructability reviews and participate in Value Engineering for the Electrical and Mechanical services works. Assist with separate contract planning to provide coordinated interface of electrical services contractor(s) and coverage of all general and special conditions items. Lead the tender process and analysis reviews and award recommendations process for MEP services, as well as other selected packages and construction contract(s). Review and comment upon the work method statements for MEP services, as well as the sequence and time schedules for each portion of MEP work. Review MEP contractors programs for construction including procedures, layout, equipment, manpower requirements and coordination. Expedite and monitor the progress of the MEP contractor(s), update progress schedules and advise the Project Executive of any slippages, problems and potential delays to the MEP works. Advise corrective action to be taken. Coordinate the MEP inspections and quality control. Expedite and monitor MEP services compliance with safety programs and quality assurance/quality control procedures. Ensure preparation and submission of daily MEP services reports and other records as required by the Management Plan. Review and comment on MEP applications for payment in respect of works completed. Attend construction coordination meetings with MEP services contractor(s) and resolve field conflicts and problems in respect of MEP services contractor(s). Provide information relevant to the CM Monthly Project Report on the status of work performed by MEP services contractor(s). Perform technical analyses of MEP contract change orders, submissions for variation orders and contractor’s claims. Participate in liaison and coordination with Client and Consultants for occupation of new facilities. Perform other duties as necessary.
